This is purely anecdotal evidence, but I have moved numerous clients out of GBLX and into FRO. Has several positive effects:

1) Lock in (substantial -- arrgghh!) tax loss against some great gains this year.

2) Pick up small premium for discount to deal price. (~4 points)

3) No change on your net position, assuming the deal goes through as now stated.

I realize I am of course a small player in the larger scheme of things, but it would make sense that others are doing this also. Helps explain the price action.

Eventually, this type of pressure and influence goes away and things like the NDX 100 inclusion, the stock buyback, etc. can get things moving the other way.
