Cosmo: Hmmm...interesting. I will say this. If LUMM has been able to come up with the ability to easily build a DWDM(Dense Waveform Division Multiplexing) chip, and at the frequency of light levels I've read about(64), the telecom industry is going to beat a path to their door. Why? Simple. On the backbone network side of things the telecom industry is even now ascending to the OC-48(and higher) level of things. All of this requires fiber, and all of it also requires DWDM the functionality of which currently is a weee tad larger than a chip. How much larger? Think BOX, or RACK. And with this thing called Broadband also becoming part of the new telecom paradigm.....welll......DWDM on a CHIP will be considered a KILLER application by the telecom community if easily manufactureable(is that a word?). Uhhh, I should qualify that statement by also say this is all imho, of course. ;-) It would be little wonder if'n CSCO, et.al., have been closely monitoring 'ol LUMM and their scientists work. This is definitely an interesting equity to speculate on if you follow the telecommunications market sector, no question! Regards! John~
