Thanks for your excellent reply. One further question, where did you see that Acer had changed their plan regarding the AcerBasic in the US market? I tried to find the accouncement or news article, but was not able to find it? I remember reading this change somewhere, but cannot remember where. Thanks in advance for your info.

Also, the INTERNET ready AcerBasic with Windows 3.1 and the Iomega Zip drive for $500 will be a great product and great seller in ANY market! The AcerBasic sounds like a great InternetPC or NetPC. Acer may beat IBM and Oracle to the NetPC and with a much better product.
