Geac Strengthens Acquisition Team

MARKHAM, ONTARIO, CANADA--Geac Computer Corporation Limited
(TSE:GAC) announced today the appointment of Mr. Thomas Pippy as
Senior Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions for the Company.

Mr. Pippy brings more than eighteen years of investment banking
experience to Geac, having focused on the technology sector with a
major Canadian investment dealer and having been involved with
numerous acquisitions, valuations, and financing of both public
and private companies. He is a chartered accountant by profession
and holds an MBA from McMaster University. He has been a director
of several corporations.
