Thank you for your post. I believe "ganagesterocracy" rightfully discribes the present state of Russian politics. Don't you think this state of affaires in Russia is liked by the US policy makers in Washington?

I have visited ex-Soviet Union on countless occasions and always thought there was something that was keeping this country together. Was it the authority of the States or the fear of arrest that kept the Sovietsky Narod( I am just kidding, no such animal ever existed!) together?

After the fall of Soviet Union, I can't understand how the whole country has not gone up in flames yet! Caucasus is one major flashpoint as the war is spreading throughout Daghestan and could well spread to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, and the Centeral Asian Republics.
