The Amazon way. What do you do when your company is facing mounting losses and escalating expenses? You promote your CFO. It makes perfect sense.

By the way, another Amazon VP, David Risher (senior VP of Product Development), sold 60,000 shares on Aug. 10, 1999 for $5.02 million. Since Nov. 10, 1998, Mr. Risher has sold 207,000 shares for total proceeds of $26.5 million. You have to wonder if Mr. Risher knows something we don't. Or perhaps he is planning his departure. Or maybe he is just diversifying.

Thanks,
-Eric
