I understand your frustration. The problem as I see it has always been "when does life begin". "When are you considered a human". "And when because of this are you given "human rights".

There's really is no easy answer to this. Perhaps it's why people who believe they are only being logical feel the need to demoge the issue into religious elements alone and to paint those who would argue the point as "blind followers of religios faith". The truth is there are many atheists and non-believers of religion who consider first trimester abortion so abhorrent that laws should be passed to ban them too.

That is why abortion is such a divisive issue. And why it's still being debated so hotly today.

I would suggest that everyone who is pro-choice in all circumstances should go view an 8th month sonogram and come back and argue they have no right to life. And for those who believe there is no life in the first trimester should go check out the film "Miracle of Life" from their local library. On the other side of the coin, those who would argue completely pro-life positions should go talk to a 15 year old rape victim 2 weeks pregnant and explain to them why they must carry the baby full term.
