Well first of all I dispute your claim that homosexuals that hide their sexuality are not discriminated against. Personally I don't think too many are really effective in hiding their sexuality (although some are), and those that are not completely effective in this persuit are branded with derogatory terms like "fag" etc. But back to the racism vs. homosexual argument... hmmm, I think we are looking at this from a different angle. What I think I am hearing from you is that people should try to be like the majority... white hetero christians or whatever... and if they can't adhere to that "look and feel", due to some physical trait like skin color, well, ok but at least they should try to be as white hetero as they can be, we won't discriminate because that wouldn't be fair. Otoh, if somebody looks close enough to be a white hetero, and yet, makes an objective decision to deviate from that "ideal"... well then, that is wrong, and we are going to discriminate. Therefore, Hormel doesn't get his Luxembourg appointment even though he is aptly qualified. Is that what you are saying?
