Other than Pierina (Chile), which produced 57,000 ounce in 1998, and should do 835,000 in 1999 taking Barrick to the 4 million ounce mark I can't think of any other mine that will have a major impact. In Argentina, Barrick has Pascua (reserves= 20moz AU, 525Moz AG, production : 675,000 AU, 20moz AG) and Homestake has Veladero (Argentina Gold acquisition) but I 'm not sure when you will see production from them. Newcrest Australia has done a wonderful job with Cadia Hill and should jump from being Australia's 8th largest producer to 3rd. For the year ended June 30, 1999: "Group gold production rose by 260,738 ounces to 710,839 ounces"
