I believe you are a lawyer, so I am surprised that you would argue that the "deleterious effect" of abortion is "self-evident." It isn't self-evident to me, which is why I asked if you would explain your position.

Just to make sure I understand, your contention is that the number of teenagers who kill newborns is evidence that abortion has caused teenagers, or perhaps society as a whole, to hold life less dear. So, you would agree that if it has not become more common for teenagers to kill newborns, then abortion has not caused teenagers, or society as a whole, to hold life less dear?
