Dear Neo, please do not be offended, but I have no interest in reading the entire thread to determine the reasons you have "already elaborated" opposing abortion. I simply don't have time.

The question was simply, why is E's analogy not apt? I agree that human beings are not furniture. But neither is an acorn an oak.

Similarly, a fertilized ovum is not a blastocyst, and a blastocyst is not an embryo, and an embryo isn't a fetus.

I am also puzzled why you would only support the morning after pill "if" later abortions were limited ~ the morning after pill *prevents* conception, or, if conception occurs, prevents implantation. Do you mean you would support RU486?
