Lionbridge's VeriTest Labs Open For Logo Certification Of Windows 2000-Based Desktop Applications

(Nasdaq: LIOX), today announced the commencement of logo compliance and certification testing of desktop applications for the Microsoft Windows 2000 family of operating systems. VeriTest is authorized to test both desktop and server applications worldwide for Microsoft's new "Certified for Windows 2000" logo.
As part of this program, certification results, in the form of summary documents, will be posted on the VeriTest Web site at www.veritest.com. These documents will provide consumers and IT managers with important information regarding support for the Application Specification for Windows 2000. Certified applications will also be highlighted in the Directory of Windows 2000-Based Applications, which can be viewed at microsoft.com
Applications "Certified for Windows 2000" deliver such features as roaming user support and simplified install and uninstall by taking advantage of reliability and manageability improvements in Windows 2000. The result is well-behaved applications that require less administration and downtime, while providing more manageable configurations.

Signup and pricing information for "Certified for Windows 2000" desktop application testing at Lionbridge's VeriTest lab in Los Angeles is now available at veritest.com. VeriTest labs in Paris and Tokyo will offer the same testing later this fall. Upon request, VeriTest will also conduct on-site testing of customer applications. Compliance testing for server applications using the Specification for Distributed Applications will begin later this fall. Developers who are interested in obtaining certification for Windows 2000 can also earn certification for their products on previous level operating systems, including Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT Workstation 4.0.
