U.S. Robotics

Hauppauge Digital Inc. (NASDAQ symbol HAUP, Boston Stock Exchange symbol HAU), the manufacturer of Win/TV digital video boards, announced that the company has been selected to provide its video conferencing board on an OEM basis to U.S. Robotics, a major U.S. based information access company, (NASDAQ symbol USRX).
Hauppauge's ImpactVCB will be used as a component of the Bigpicture video products, which were introduced at the Comdex Fall 96 show in Las Vegas.
The company's president, Ken Aupperle, stated "our ImpactVCB was designed for the rapidly growing consumer segment of the video conferencing market. This relationship creates a highly visible application which we expect will accelerate the acceptance of video conferencing in personal computers."
