I simply described a position, which is not ad hominem if it is an accurate description of the homo's views. (Er, is "homo" the singular noun for the word of which "hominem" is the dative?)

You wrote that in your view, "if Neocon's moral belief is that abortion represents murder, whether that comes from his religious beliefs or not he is perfectly entitled to try to enact that belief into law and impose on you and others who may disagree with it."

What you take exception to is my statement that

"You've said you are going to do all you can to get your religious views turned into law and make me do what you
want."

Because someone stipulates that a divided cell is, according their religion, a human child, and tries to get me to do what they want under threat of law, pointing out that this is what they have done is not an ad hominem attack.

It is true that I spoke as if you were Neocon, I now see; so the account of what you said personally is inaccurate, since you were only reporting (and agreeing with) Neocon's views; but since you do agree with it, and might well have said those words yourself, my regret at the confusion is not deep.

E is not here, by the way. You know who this is.
