Good day for NITE. But:

OT: Anyone have thoughts on the impact of Y2K?
Not for NITE specifically,
but with regard to holding any
positions through the Y2K period,
by which I mean appoximately first half of year 2000.

Saw a late night TV analysis about
10% of the private sector being unready for Y2K,
and that the ramifications
could take the Dow for a 3000 point drop,
drop the economy a tad, hike unemployment, etc etc.

While not a devastating scenario,
could certainly be a significant hit
on the individual stockholder.

I shall have to check whether we have a Y2K thread
cooking here on SI...

George

afterword: yow! there are about 25 threads on Y2K.
