Looking into my crystal ball:

Q1:
Done deal we're OK here.

Q2:
PC-DVD Brings significant revenues for Cube (more so than originally thought).
Consumer DVD revenues start to ramp up (with new customers announced), accelerating into Q3.
VCD revenue continues to grow.
Divicom strength will start to become more apparent.

So I'm a bit more bullish on Q2 since I've started thinking about it. I started out concerned that Q2 would be harder to do than Q1. I've changed my mind.

Q3:
VCD, DVD & Divicom. We'll rock.

-------------------

Through Q2 & Q3, I expect/hope to see new alliances formed.

Consumer DVD: We need a a couple big customer announcements here, maybe like Panasonic, Sharp and Zenith, if they are in fact going to take a large chunk of this market.
I see Toshiba, Matsushita and Cube as the biggest player here, others are late to the game.

DVB/Satellite:
Would be nice to have a big win here to put Divicom into the mind of investors in a big way. Hope for a Sientific Atlanta or General Instruments alliance or something along those lines. But there's no doubt in my mind that over the next few years this will be the biggest revenue generator.

VCD: Nice revenue stream but will become a less important part of Cube's revenue stream (may be the only good revenue stream for others).

Other struff:

MPEG Encoders. Everyone is going to need them as the Digital Video infrastructure builds up.
Being able to encode and decode on the same chip will become more important down the road. I don't forsee this happening in consumer products in 1997. Perhaps late 1998 we'll see them.
We will see the E4 (Fourth generation Cube Encoder) this year. Since most of the E4 team is on vacation this week I would assume they just taped out. That puts them into the Debug the chip phase. I guestimate they are 6-8 months away from sampling.

Divicom Systems: There is going to be big money made here, period.

HDTV: Aways off yet but the 2 year FCC ruling would help.

Can you tell, I'm long Cube the one product company.
