Dennis, it is true that the perma bears were wrong for a long time and may be so again. but Hickey's views have gained credibility due to the fact that the electronics retailers have been cut down to size...something smells in tech land and his contention that Y2K may be distorting the demand equation for tech hardware in the short term sounds quite convincing. also for sheer fun, it is great to see the comparisons of big cap market caps of now and , well, only a few years ago. if there are any doubts left whether this is a mania or a new era, these statistics should dispel them. regards, hb
