The problem with Dessauer, IMHO is that he does NOT follow his stock recommendations as closely as he should.
Clearly, he has not been following LSI. I'll bet he hasn't listened to any of LSI's conference calls, read any of their reports, or performed any financial analysis on LSI. 11 points ago, when LSI was at $47.00, he announced on WSW to SELL LSI. His reason (as stated on his hotline) Wall St. is in love with LSI. I guess if you're a contrarian, that sort of conclusion might make sense. But why sell a great stock with growing order backlog, growing revenue, growing earnings, in a GROWING sector? (With positive news nearly every week) And at the very beginning a new semi- upturn?
I mean come on, give me a REAL reason to sell, not some "guess cause it feels right" contrarian analysis. I'd have much more respect (even though he'd be wrong) if he were to say SELL because DVD is not gonna be a platform consumers will embrace, DCAM is just a passing fad, and the rest of LSI's biz is under assault by NSM. He doesn't mention any reasons, cause he doesn't know what's going on.
Dessauer has lost touch, or he never even was in touch with what's happening at LSI.
I'm not even going to get into his stock 'rockets' like CPKY (recommended a buy at $6.00, then "get out with your shirt while you can at 50 cents") He's been hyping HLT for the last year all the while HLT has lost half it's value. PMRX...and so many more "winners".
I've lost all respect for him. I've cancelled my subscription and have steered all my friends away from him... |
