Chung, I have hotmail, I have Yahoo. What I am talking about is my family and similarly millions of other families inspite of what you say prefer AOL. Is it not re-assuring Chung that in spite of all the stuff being available elsewhere for free, families still prefer AOL.

This is Back to School season. My son who is going to Grade 8 has a Math teacher and an English teacher who their e-mail every 1/2 at AOL in the evening. Why you ask? They have a standing offer to the students to send them e-mail via AOL if they have problems with their homework. The teachers will help them via AOL.

Chung, let us put it this way. You and I can both drive and we can drive at very high speeds. But we cannot drive like say ace Mario Andretti. It is the same with ISPs. Anybody can provide ISP services but none can provide it like AOL, not even MSFT.

Remember the OS2, MAC and WIN competition. Who won? We all here in Silicon valley knew that OS2 and MAC were superior to WIN. But WIN packaged and marketed their product well. So AOL has marketed itself well. And the e-commerce folks (the next earnings wave) are willing to go after their business via AOL.
