Panelists Finalized, Moderator Confirmed for Pronetlink.com(R) United Nations Global Trade Event
NEW YORK, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- ProNetLink.com (OTC Bulletin Board: PNLK - news), the first Global Trade Internetwork(TM), today announced that it has finalized the speakers and panelists for its exclusive United Nations conference, The Impact of the Internet on Global Trade. After several weeks of negotiations, Marcial Plehn-Mejia, Senior Economic Affairs Officer at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development's (UNCTAD) Geneva headquarters, has confirmed his intention to participate in the event. Additionally, Davis Goodman, Editor-in-Chief of World Trade Magazine, has agreed to be the moderator for the panel discussion.
The conference will begin with a welcome address from Glenn Zagoren, Chairman of ProNetLink.com. Mr. Zagoren will introduce the keynote speaker, United States Deputy Secretary of Commerce Robert L. Mallett, who will give a presentation on how the Internet can increase the trade presence of developing countries, U.S. Department of Commerce global trade initiatives and the future of the Internet within the global trade marketplace.
Following Deputy Secretary Mallett's address, Mr. Zagoren will join a panel discussion, moderated by Mr. Goodman, with leading global trade and E-commerce professionals including:

The panel discussion will focus on current trends effecting global trade and the development of international business relationships, the role of the Internet in the ever-evolving global economy and the growth of the Internet as a business-to-business communications tool. The entire event will be taped for broadcast on ProNetLink TV, the first trade news network on the Internet. PNL-TV will begin regular broadcasts starting in September.

Marcial Plehn-Mejia began his service at the United Nations in 1971 as Assistant Secretary for the United Nations Economic and Social Council. Since that time, Mr. Plehn-Mejia has devoted his time to international business development while serving in a variety of capacities within the UN. Since 1977, he has been the Chef de Cabinet Officer in charge of UNCTAD in Geneva, focusing specifically on intergovernmental negotiations for the Commodities & Trade Division. Additionally, as Senior Advisor on Relations with the Business Sector and the Officer responsible for Technical Co-operation for UNCTAD, Mr. Plehn-Mejia has played an integral role in overseeing the construction of technological infrastructure for Third World and developing nations around the world. His current focus is the establishment of e-commerce platforms for developing nations that will benefit both the economic and social growth of Third World countries.
Davis Goodman is Editor-in-Chief of World Trade Magazine, a leading trade publication geared specifically to the international trade community.
