EchoStar V Satellite Launch Delayed LITTLETON, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 7, 1999--EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH - news, DISHP - news) announced today that the scheduled launch of EchoStar V from Cape Canaveral Air Station, Fla., has been delayed three days until Sept. 13, 1999. Final check-out tests were hampered due to adverse weather conditions in Florida. EchoStar V is scheduled to be launched on a Lockheed Martin Atlas IIAS rocket on Monday, Sept. 13, 1999 at 1:12 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time. Built by Space Systems/Loral in Palo Alto, Calif., EchoStar V is an FS-1300 series spacecraft with 32 110-watt Ku-band transponders.
