Wordcraft Responds to Largest Municipally Held Utility
IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Wordcraft Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: WORC) announced that it has recently responded to a formal Request for Information (RFI) from the largest municipally held Utility in North America.
The RFI was prepared and submitted in July, 1999, by a highly skilled and experienced team of professionals from: Next Century Systems, (wholly owned subsidiary of WORC), San Diego Data Processing Corp., and an industry Consulting Firm. The RFI was highlighted by the Utility's requirements of a "state of the art" Mobile Dispatch and Field Data Capture System, and related maintenance and consulting services. Management believes that its national award winning software, Sewer Water Infrastructure Management System (SWIM), and Tool Room Inventory Management (TRIM) software and mobile computing hardware will provide the features and functionality necessary to meet the Utility's requirements by:
a) improving customer service;
b) generating substantial maintenance cost savings immediately upon
implementation;
c) eliminating paper maps;
d) improving field crew productivity;
e) eliminating duplicate data entry;
f) improving the utilities dispatch function.
Management estimates that the potential value of the contemplated program at the Utility and its approximately 1500 service vehicles including software, hardware, consulting and maintenance services could exceed $15 million.
