Toshiba has thier own. They will cost reduce their current solution, and try to keep it in house. I'm assuming for the moment that they will succeed in doing so, since I have no info to the contrary.

Sony is having problems with their DVD solution and get this, they are using Toshiba's initially. Who's they end up with in the end I don't know.

Matsushita, I can't pin them on Cube yet. They have a MPEG2 solution and I would have to assume that they will do the same as Toshiba. However, (this is where the crystal ball fogs up) Cube and Matsushita have a good relationship and the source of Matsushita just might be Cube. I assume though, that Matsushita will continue to market thier solution as thier own. But Cube may have royalties or some other piece.
My guess is that the Matsushita/Cube arrangement involves some kind of trade for the DVD encryption/decryption piece. Currently Toshiba is holding everyone back on encryption/decryption. And you can't sell DVD without it. This could be a real significant advantage for Cube.
