I know it doesn't make sense Paul, that's why it is so unbelievable. I wonder if that is why we always just hear of people exercising their options and not taking possession. Maybe some others on here can check their sources and see if they contradict this or confirm this paying ordinary income tax on options where they take possession at the time(in the year) they take possession.
