THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY!
THE GOOD - it finally stopped raining long enough to start picking chile and we should be able to ship fresh chile for delivery on August 19th as scheduled!
THE BAD - Because so many growers have lost part of their crop (in some fields even all of the chile) we've been forced to add a small surcharge to each box of fresh chile. New prices are listed on the order form.
THE UGLY - It looks like New Mexico growers will lose up to half of the total chile crop this year.

Prices in the greater Denver area are up around 20-35% on this staple of our diets. The peppers from other areas are simply not as good & or yielding as much flesh per pod.
