Well, I am somewhat bewildered at your focus, but so be it.....Solidarity involves empathy, yes, but also a sense of duty that I think goes beyond empathy, the sentiment that one should pull one's weight, that one cannot let the fellows down, and so forth, which I do not think is possible without, in addition, a sense of honor....Anyway, who do you think is likeliest to come through, someone who is highly susceptible to feeling other's pain, or someone who would be disgraced by the failure to uphold his duty?
