Michael,

I don't have all your answers, but here is my opinion to some of them.

1. Crummy Times. If you notice most infomercials are in the wee hours of the morning. The simple fact is that this airtime is cheap!!!. During a testing period, you want to still keep your costs low, while still gaining an Idea of how well your product will be accepted. If the product is successfully received, I'm sure Dr. Ron Laura will be will to pay for premium airtime.

2. Test Airings - I would be scared to invest in a company that does not have a test plan in place for it's new products. It would be ludicrous for a company to fully leverage itself on what they perceive to be a great idea. Many times, what appears to be a great idea fails! Surveys, word of mouth, and professional opinions can only justify a test market, and not assure marketing success.

David
