Here's a Sun whitepaper from the graphon site discussing X issues quite similar to what Sun Ray appears to be about. Unless Sun has got something else up it's sleeve, Graphon looks like a smart buy. Note: If GOJO is up 50% and CORL owns 20% of the company, shouldn't CORL be up 10%?

What makes it un-kosher is that you cannot sell modified versions commercially without paying a kickback to Sun.

Waitaminute though, isn't that as true of the QPL? So, Debian doesn't do KDE in it's distro? Anyway, Debian is partnering with Corel for their desktop Linux thing. The bulk of Debian may be distributed by Corel (with WordPerfect). This is getting confusing. :)

Yes, I was considering the StarPortal thing to be a completely separate product from StarOffice. My "crap" comments should not be assumed to apply to StarPortal because I have never seen or used it. :)

Well, the point is that at least this particular piece of bloated code (unlike KDE and Gnome) is headed into a more ascended (and more widely used) space (portal version).

Yes, it would be quite cool, and may even be assumed that SO will have all that CORBA stuff, once the community starts hacking on it.
