The QCP-2700 supports CDMA on 1900 MHz and AMPS on 800 MHz. IT DOES NOT support CDMA on 800 MHz.

I just checked qualcomm.com website and it does not state that the 2760 supports CDMA on 800 MHz. It says the 2760 supports phone service on both 800 and 1900 MHz band. I would be willing to bet that, like the 2700, it is AMPS only on 800 MHz, or else they would have said it will support CDMA on both frequencies.

I SPECULATE: CDMA support on 800 MHz is probably something PCS providers do not want. They probably want to offer you the coverage advantage of 800 MHz AMPS, but may not want to sell you a phone which you can switch to their 800 MHz CDMA competitors.
