implications of mere 50% growth
(addressed to me, since like muttering foolishly)

50% appreciation by Sept2004 would produce QCOM = 1300

if on Jan 1st of each year, one were to extend margin to 50% and purchase twice the Qshares that your cash allows, your return would escalate by Sept2004 from the 7-bagger to a lofty 30-bagger

realistic claims regarding earnings growth might allow for close to 100% next year, followed by 80% then 70%, settling toward 50% annually by the end of y2004... such scenario would see the stock at roughly QCOM = 2500

if and when ATT and Europe capitulate, expect even my realistic earnings growth figures to suffer from undershoot... my best guess is for strong near triple digit growth until handheld PC's equal desktop PC's in sales, which will likely occur in y2002-3... heavy growth will subside only after colossal landline displacement somewhere in y2003-5 timeframe... QCOM=8000 by y2005 (hold me to it)

it will pay to buy & hold on this alpha gorilla
