A
taboo against homosexuality is certainly not a universal feature - it is more of a
Judeo-Christian specialty.

It's time we got some facts about this. It's been floating around here for a while, unresolved. What is the attitude toward homosexuality among non-Judeo-Christian societies? How about Asian societies (either by nation--China, India (pre-English), Japan, Korea, etc. or by religion -- Buddism, Confucianism, Hinduism, etc.? What about the Near East -- Mesopotamia, Egypt, Babylon? How about African tribal societies? How about aboriginal tribes -- Maori, for example? American Indians? South American tribes -- Mayan, Incan, etc? How about some of the tribes newly discovered in New Guinea?

We really need some facts before we accept either my belief that anti-homosexuality is a broadly based human taboo spanning many societies and cultures and religions, or your belief that it is primarily Judeo-Christian. We need Joan!!!
