eBay has been running banner ads on its site for quite some time now, but it appears the revenues have been minimal. One reason is because eBay tries to extract too much for its banner ads. In liquidation mode, they charge $20 per CPM, while others charge as little as $2.50 per CPM in liquidation mode. Most of the ads I have seen come from the LinkExchange program.
