If everyone wants to keep money on the sidelines for Y2K opportunities, then there is already too much money on the sidelines. That is what I suspect has already happened and just have too many bargain hunters on the sidelines.
If the above is true, this market should rally right into Y2K because most people believe we will have one awesome January in the markets.
That is why i have given up on the idea of waiting for a selloff and am going more or less fully invested in stocks and bond mutual funds.

RE: QCOM
It looks strong to me--watched it all day. We should continue rallying right into next week and i am hoping for 180s by next Friday. People are not stopping their investments in speculative stocks and this is a "safe" speculative stock compared to the internets.
