The main reason for one person to be the point of contact is to eliminate people getting information from everyone in the company. Depending on who you would call and talk to at CMEC, you would get more information about some things than other people would give out. When I would call and talk to someone, he would have ideas about MT.com and tell me about them like the flash technology that many of us saw a while back. The site launched and there was no flash:( The shareholders were looking for spectacular and saw a plain old site.
I was also quoted some prices on certain items that would be on there and they are much higher right now (George said some items are higher because they are not in stock).
The new IR line will only release existing PUBLIC info. He should not be able to confirm or deny any rumors, until they have gone out in a press release, which we all agree is well overdue.
George might still talk to some people occasionally, but he should not have to spend his entire day answering repeated calls by panicking investors asking when MSFT is buying out the company or when the financial information will be filed.
George wants this stock to increase based on performance, not on bad rumors. The first thing he did when he became CEO was issue a PR stating that the rumors floating around were false.
As far as the financial information goes, if the SEC has any problems with the filing, they will still get the 'E' or pink sheets on Oct 20th. He wants the filing to be correct the first time, because the SEC could take 6-8 weeks to comment on the filing.
If you are long on this stock, you should either hold or average down at these prices. If you are looking for a quick double, this is a great place to get in, look at the chart, this has hit .50 twice in the past few months after dropping to .25. We are getting ready for another run-up soon. When this company becomes reporting, the stock should easily return back to .50 IMO. |
