IHmmm, I thought it was freedom from religion. Actually, the title of the First Amendment is "Freedom of religion, of speech, and of the press." The actual text reads "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." And if you can explain how a law prohibiting a creche on public property but permitting a hot dog stand there isn't prohibiting the "free exercise" of religion, you deserve a seat on the Supreme Court. That second clause has tended to be made subservient to the first clause, whereas grammatically they are equal.
