>>>Good Find on the Intuit settlement.

I try really hard...and it makes good sense, since Intuit had already paid Millions to AOL for the exposure of a Finance Channel within AOL...but if you go way, way, way back when Intuit FIRST released the AOL channel news, AOL was right their the same day with a revision to Intuit's origional press release.

...and if so, Litan knows what she is talking about....then @HomeExcite would go the same way...IMO. Because Intuit had spend 40 Million on that Excite Exclusive 2 years ago, which lasts for another 5 years. My guess is that nobody ever figured besides Intuit or AOL that bills would be ever presented on portal sites....now everybody wants a per transaction cut.

I think Intuits deals were for excluse CONTENT, not for services...which triggered that pissing match with CheckFree and caused the origional correction of the origional Intuit Press Release with AOL. ie..a presented bill is content..the paying of that is the service...so it does make sense. We'll see. AND since Intuit isn't into presenting bills..it looks like they won the BRANDing of the service which CheckFree provides(presentment & distribution), and that gaurantee thing just announced gets CheckFree in their too along with the Payment...so it's all CKFR with Intuit BRANDING AND A CHECKFREE GAURANTEE. Like I said, we'll see....BUT it looks to me that that is possible and why some have said here that CheckFree won the pissing match with Intuit. ie Intuit gets their name on it and a NICKLE, CheckFree gets the Business.

Yahoo! was different...INTU has never had a deal with Yahoo! except for Tax.

AND FINALLY..it was Intuit getting it face everywhere on the Internutt, including CNNfn which launched their stock price from the 20's to where it is now.

AND LASTLY...I'm speculating here...but I have followed INTU, XCIT & CKFR for about 3 years now..and it makes sense to me.
