It seems that no matter how plain and simple you try to explain something to some people, they just don't get it. Who hasn't gotten what? If you think "getting" things has to mean agreeing with you, well, okay, people don't get it. But if you think "getting" things means understanding what you said and respoding substantively and intelligently to it, I don't know what you're talking about. I've been remarkably impressed with how everybody here the past few days has been getting what people say (while not necessarily agreeing with them) and responding substantively to posts. One of the best long-running discussions on SI I've been involved with for quite a while. When else can you honestly say you've had a lengthy discussion of both abortion and homosexuality without the discussion dissolving into shouting (or the SI equivalent), insults, hurt feelings, etc. Remarkable.
