More OT--I wouldn't want a job there. I'd start my own firm. It's got a clean slate to begin with at least. These short managers often just can't get into their heads that most of the time, companies will do the right thing, the economy will move in the right direction, and that things just "go right" more often than not. Their judgment gets too clouded by their claim that they must be short. But if they have to be short, it better be on those that (1) fundamentally and (2) technically have the characteristics for collapse. The markets are adaptive, so the managers themselves better be adaptive if they want the greatest opportunity for profit, from both the long and short side. Well, enough philosophizing. In response to your inquiry, there are some personal contacts I have in Japan that might take the dive with me; this Big Bang is great, and with the economy bottoming (I didn't say it was going up), within a few more years, the region might look ripe for the picking.
