Haven't they "proven" the existence of other dimensions through the study of string theory? It gets a little wild, depending on which formula is used, we either get 4, 5, or 11 dimensions! Its been some time since I read about this stuff, maybe there are even more possibilities now. I think they also found faster than light signaling within the tachyon, didn't they? I'm not sure of the implications of that, but it threw the physicists into a tizzy. You won't hear too many of them utter the G word, but they are clearly reassessing their thinking.
