It is interesting the number of "Christians" who point with almost fierceness to certain literal parts of the Bible such as the parts on sodomy but slide right over other prohibitions (such as dietary laws) and such very awkward passages as "take all thou hast and give it to the poor." Heck, how would we get to our new million dollar evangelical church if we had to give away our Beemer? I find much wisdom and value in the Bible, but I also find much that I refuse to take literally or to view as the unequivocal voice of God.
