Miscellaneous comments: That Fortune Magazine article was definitely a good read. Pasternak is tough, indeed! He's one of those guys who: "when life hands you a lemon, he'll make lemonade" It seems like Fortune is doing what other magazines do by releasing their web version of their magazine substantially ahead of their hardcopy version. However, other hardcopy issues of magazines do arrive quite early - for example, my "October" issue of Individual Investor arrived today, about 3 weeks ahead of time. So maybe Fortune is mailed out to subscribers today. At any rate, the impact of the article and increased awareness of NITE should hit the street tomorrow. Other interesting notes from this evening's WSJ summary of the markets: "There is speculation Intel will announce that third-quarter earnings are expected to be above current analysts' estimates. If so, it will likely be soon since the company enters its "quiet period" Monday ahead of reporting earnings Oct. 12. An Intel spokesman declined to comment. " That means on Thursday or Friday, Intel could ignite a substantial tech rally that could spill over to the Internets and the OLB's. These positive pre-announcements by Intel have been excellent market movers in the past.
