I think this statement should have been edited as such:

{plug} "Not to mention MP3.com {MPPP}, the flagship for the movement," {unplug}

hehehehe....unfortunately MPPP is not a flagship for much of what MP3 stands for. What MP3 stands for is free, pirated music (I covered this long ago and will not repeat it. A new addition though is that MP3 will not die until ALL source material is encoded to prevent such duplication and all hacks are circumvented, ie. good luck until the consumer is willing to be burdened by such secure measures (also previously discussed).) Unfortunately (as a previous article I posted suggests), MPPP doesn't do much at all for those who put their trust into MPPP as even the most popular MPPP bands are lucky to sell 300 albums. But alas, this isn't an MP3 thread....just thought it was funny that this Harmon character would make such a comment. Seems more out of self-motivation and his own speculation than any reality. In fact, after making statements that would basically be repeated many months later by "credited media" (hahahaha, yea right) I've come to the conclusion that several posters here have a better grasp on where this technology arena is headed than most analysts or reporters (reporters - those who repeat what is said or create their own fiction so it appears they repeated what others said).

"Otherwise it's just another garage band with three chords and an unsung melody." hehehehe, this sure sounds like all those bands who signed up with MPPP.

-not so sure about EPAC and definitely sure about MPPP.
