So unlike DELL.
In MDs book he talks about certain times when you have to grow faster than you want, or do things outside the preferred way (aquire instead of internal growth) because of impending consolidation. I guess the execs have determined that if they don't get bigger in storage quickly then they will be forced into a supporting role only and dependant on companies that don't have Dell's best interest in mind.
