J-Bird Music Group LTD Signs Exclusive Licensing Agreement For Never Before Released Recordings of Bing Crosby
From the Bing Crosby Radio Show, Digitally Re-Mastered Recordings Set to Hit Retail and the Internet in November 1999
WILTON, Conn., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- J-Bird Records (OTC Bulletin Board: JBRD) announced today an exclusive licensing deal for never before released recordings from the legendary Bing Crosby. "Thanks For the Memories, Mr. Crosby" is part of J-Bird's ongoing relationship with VMG (Venture Music Group).
Philco Radio Time starring Bing Crosby debuted on the ABC network on October 16, 1946, with Bob Hope as Bing's first guest. The show was recorded on large transcription discs. The following year the Crosby show would introduce tape broadcasting to prime time network radio and it is from this period that the 1/4 inch masters used for these selections were recorded.
Although there are an untold number of compact discs released that feature recordings from Bing's radio shows, the quality is usually mediocre or worse. These recordings however were digitally re-mastered for the highest quality by Tony Camillo, VMG producer/co-founder.

The CD is set for an in-store release date of November 16, 1999 and will also be available at jbirdrecords.com e-commerce web site simultaneously.
