Chimnoy, those teachers should get a clue and sign up with hotmail. Hotmail is the best web based email, in addition it can also retrieve email from your isp, but not from AOL since it is proprietary, the teachers can retrieve all mail from any PC connected to the web, regardless of whether that PC has AOL software, unlike AOL, you can only retrieve and send mail through AOL, what if you are at a frined's house or office who has a clue and don't subscribe to AOL and you want to retrieve your email from AOL? You are stuck!
The teachers have nothing to lose if they subscribe to Hotmail, they can chat and collaborate on projects with their students thru MSN Messenger and with students who have AOL and those students who don't have AOL as well, they should not limit themselves to students with AOL!
Look around the web for high school faculty list, most have Hotmail accounts, it is becoming more prevalent by the day, AOL is asleep at the wheel, I think school administrators either require or encourage teachers to set up hotmail accounts. I can send you high school links if you don't care to look them up. messenger.msn.com
Sign up with MSN Internet service while they are at it, $12 a month, national access, you can beat it, and you will not be restricted to AOL "premium" contents. costco.com
Do you know when AOL is cutting their monthly fee to $12? I think soon, don't you think. |
