Last week I made a goodly-sized batch of sun-dried tomatoes from some yellow and red cherry tomatoes from the garden. My intention was to use them when baking bread this winter... you know, to give the bread a bit of a sunny-summery taste. Well, darned if those sun-dried tomatoes aren't so sweet and tasty that we're eating them up as if they were dried apricots or something... Probably won't be nary a one left come December...or Hallowe'en for that matter. Bummer...)-: Another good sandwich... good bread with avocado slices, red boston lettuce, alfalfa sprouts, mayo, and hot-honey mustard... Yesiree... Well, back to work here... Making batches of pesto this morning... Kitchen is filled with the aroma of garlic and basil... yet another version of heaven.
