Also keep in mind that the company gave a very upbeat presentation at the Salomon Smith Barney tech conference this week and has already held its annual conference for developers. At both, the stress was on far better integration with third-party products and how SAP plans to enable easier business-to-business transactions via the Internet. Also the company has begun shipping a new release of R/3 with a much easier interface and is shipping a version of R/3 for Linux.
