Hello Saverio: I assume that you are deriving your figures by comparing the annual report with that of the third quarter. I'm not sure that we can rely on the figures that were published for the third quarter of fiscal 1999. They were not audited, and there has to be some incompetence somewhere--which I doubt is confined to senior management. After all, I do not think Maller was putting the figures together himself. But he should have had a feeling for things--thinking about the information supplied to him and satisfying himself that it all hung together. Surely he should have had monthly reports that supplied him with key figures that would help him keep his hand on the company's pulse? John
