These are all the reasons I not only own EMC stock, but Jan. 2002 Leaps (calls, of course). EMC commands a premium because of two things- software technology that nobody else has, and fanatical service. If I wanted storage I wanted to be SURE would not go down, I wouldn't think of anything else. The cost savings from hassle reduction more than covers the price premium. I particularly found it amusing that, in HP's stellar quarter, they reported that their storage systems took a significant hit after they started offering Hitachi. Just more gravy for EMC to sell direct... JMO, Doug
