as several here know, Winstar is just concluding an impromptu but well attended analyst day. the anticipation of which likely caused yesterday's runup, and with no "major" announcement today (vis a vis WMB last year, though it's definitely a plus to have Tishman's properties in the fold), we are seeing some low volume trading pullback.

WCII presented an enterprise distribution technology using Lucent (likely Stinger-based) DSL and DSLAMs.

The current focus of WinStar is very much in highlighting their data and content strategy as a package with their distribution capabilities. Office.com will play a major role (and was demo'd to some extent today), but may not be rolled out until later this Q or Q4.

As always, lot of pokers in the fire, and with a strong Q3 coming to a close, look for some further fund interest going into Nov. And maybe an initiation of coverage or two. And maybe some increased price targets as a result of stronger long term guidance for data revenues.
